Bill Laimbeer and Reggie Theus Join Rambis on Minnesota Coaching Staff

Kurt Rambis is surrounding himself with experience, just not a ton of coaching experience. Rambis is loading his bench like it's 1982, former players Reggie Theus, and the bruising Bill Laimbeer will accompany him in Minnesota. Last season Kurt Rambis served as an assistant coach on the world champion Los Angeles Lakers. After a 14 year playing career, Rambis is now looking to put his stamp on the NBA as a head coach.

Bill Laimbeer coached the WNBA's Detroit Shock to three championships. Laimbeer is known best for being part of the, "Bad Boys," Pistons teams who beat up every good player in the league. From Bird, to Magic, to Jordan; nobody was leaving Detroit unscathed.

In his first coaching job, Reggie Theus struggled immensely. Their 2008-09 record of 17-65 is a great indication of how the year transpired. Theus didn't last half the season as he was fired on December 16th. As a player, Theus was stellar for the Bulls, and the Kings (Both Kansas City, and Sacramento). Over his 13 year career Theus averaged 18. PPG, and 6.3 APG.
