J.R. Smith and Jason Richardson Suspended.

Nuggets' SG J.R. Smith has been suspended 7 games by the NBA after pleading guilty to reckless driving charges in New Jersey. In a statement by the NBA, Smith's poor driving record contributed to his suspension. In 2007 a passenger in Smith's car was killed in a collision.

Suns' SF Jason Richardson was suspended for 2 games after drunk driving charges.

Both suspensions are without pay and both players are important to their team's success. Fortunately their suspensions are short enough that the season will not be greatly affected.
