NBA Regular Season 2-3-10

76ers vs Bulls (Slo's pick: Bulls)
After becoming the first team in NBA history to win 5 straight road games over plus .500 teams the Bulls dropped what should have been an easy one last night against the Clippers. I expect them to bounce back tonight with a win over the Sixers.

Celtics vs Heat (Slo's pick: Celtics)
Great teams always play better when faced with adversity. Captain Paul Pierce injured his ankle against the Wizards and his status for this game is uncertain. But rumors have surfaced that he could be out for the season which would be a devastating loss for the Celtics. I don't know how they'll fare in the next 2 months without him, but I do know they'll win tonight.

Hawks vs Clippers (Slo's pick: Hawks)
The Clippers are coming off a solid win last night in Chicago, tonight they're going to get massacred in Atlanta.

Raptors vs Nets (Slo's pick: Raptors)
The Raptors' d-league team could probably beat the Nets.

Knicks vs Wizards (Slo's pick: Knicks)
Both of these teams are dreadfully inconsistent, the only reason why I'm taking the Knicks is because they're home.

Hornets vs Thunder (Slo's pick: Thunder)
The Thunder are thoroughly more talented than the Hornets, especially with Chris Paul out indefinitely with a knee injury. The Thunder should win easily tonight in New Orleans.

Mavericks vs Warriors (Slo's pick: Mavericks)
The Mavs should have little trouble winning this game tonight at home.

Jazz vs Blazers (Slo's pick: Jazz)
Despite being plagued by injuries, the Blazers are still one of the most disappointing teams of the season.

Kings vs Spurs (Slo's pick: Spurs)
The Kings would have to push the ball for the whole game tonight. I just don't have any confidence that such a young team will be able to control the tempo over a team with championship experience at many positions.

Nuggets vs Suns (Slo's pick: Nuggets)
At home the Nuggets are going to be able to run with the Suns for the full 48 minutes behind the energy of their home crowd. Also, don't be surprised to see Amare Stoudemire's production go down in the next two weeks. There are trade rumors sending him all over the place, I can't help but think that at some point it has to get into his mind.

Lakers vs Bobcats (Slo's pick: Lakers)
The Lakers are going to win easily tonight at home, I just can't see the Bobcats pulling this one out.

Slo's record on the season: 400-206
Slo's record on Jan. 31st: 6-1
