NBA Regular Season 11-5-09

Cavaliers vs Bulls (Slo's pick: Cavaliers)
I'm taking the Cavs for no other reason than that the Bulls are playing extremely bad right now. Rose, who has struggled immeasurably in the first few games, broke out in the fourth quarter of tuesday night's game against the Bucks scoring ten points in the fourth quarter. Gradually he is beginning to look more like himself since being back from his ankle injury. He should score a lot tonight because Mo Williams can't play defense to save his life. I hope the Bulls exploit that and attack him all night. Also, I can't believe the Cavs actually went into the season with that lineup. It's horrible, they have nobody who can carry the load when LeBron isn't playing at his best. If they think Williams is going to be LeBron's Scottie Pippen then they are certifiably insane. They need to go out and get someone like Joe Johnson to help carry the scoring load. If the Bulls can stop LeBron tonight then they'll win. Unfortunately that's a lot easier said than done. Last season James nearly averaged a triple double against the Bulls scoring 31.5 PPG, dishing out 7 APG, and pulling down 11.5 RPG. Because I don't think the Bulls will be able to stop LeBron, I'm taking the Cavs tonight in Cleveland.

Jazz vs Spurs (Slo's pick: Spurs)
Richard Jefferson is starting to break out of his shooting slump and that has been a huge lift for the Spurs. Not only are they more talented than the Jazz but they're chemistry is also far superior. This game might be close because generally the Jazz play very well at home but I still think the Spurs are walking away with a win tonight in Utah.

Slo's record on the season: 45-23 (66%)
Slo's record last night: 7-3
